English Language Courses

English for Teenagers (EFT) program is specifically designed for SMP (Junior High School) students. The program is aimed at helping junior high school students develop their real-context communicative skills, both in spoken and written English. EFT’s syllabus is also designed in such a way that its contents intersect with the national curriculum. Participants of this program will not only learn to hone their English communication skills but also receive practical assistance in doing their school work and tests. This program is offered in eight levels of 100 minute-24 sessions each (a total of 40 hours per level).

English for Young Learners (EYL) is a program that is specifically designed for young children (aged 6 to 12 or elementary school pupils) to help them learn English the young ­learner-friendly and fun way. EYL uses a wholistic approach and various interesting media to help children develop their communicative skills in English. Eight levels are offered in this program, namely:

• Each level in the EYL program is taught in 24 sessions of l 00 minutes each (2400 minutes or 40 hours per level).

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a tailor-made program created and designed to meet the needs of our customers from various sectors. Up to this date, UPI Language Center has designed and administered ESP programs for RSBI (pioneering schools of international standard) teachers, tourism and hospitality students and lecturers, science teachers, and English for International Conferences and English for Paper Writing (Academic Writing) ESP programs. ESP programs are non-regular and created only on the basis of customers’ request.

The TOEFL® Preparation Course is designed to help participants prepare for the TOEFL® Test and increase their score. The program focuses on providing the participants with proper and systematic strategies they can use to tackle problems in every part of the TOEFL® test, i.e. Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, and Reading Comprehension.
The regular TOEFL® Preparation program is an eight-week, 72-hour course, taught three times of three hour session per week. Private tuition is also available upon request for minimum of 10 hour-package.

IELTS™ Preparation Course is designed to help participants prepare for the IELTS™ test or other similar tests and increase their score. The program focuses on improving the participant’s listening, reading, speaking and writing skills that will be tested in the IELTS™ test. Participants will do a lot of practice and review activities for listening and reading, one-to-one interview practice and review for speaking and intensive drafting, reviewing and editing for writing.
The regular IELTS™ Preparation program is an eight-week, 96-hour course, taught four times of four hour session per week. Private tuition is also available for a minimum of 10 hour-package.
